                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 511
                   McCALLIE AVENUE AND 654 HOUSTON STREET, BEING
                   ON THE NORTHEAST LINE OF McCALLIE AVENUE AT
                   HOUSTON STREET,  FROM C-2 CONVENIENCE
                   COMMERCIAL ZONE TO R-4 SPECIAL ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 511 McCallie Avenue and
                654 Houston Street, being on the northeast line of
                McCallie Avenue at Houston Street.  Part of lots 14
                and 16, block H, Longs Addition, not recorded;
                being part of the property described as Tract 1 in
                deed book 4610, page 826, ROHC, and being all of
                said Tract 1 which is currently zoned C-2.  Tax Map
                No. 145D-J-18 (part) and 19. 
               
               
         from C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone to R-4 Special Zone.
        
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         provided by law.
